Questions to Consider
Posted: 15/01/2026
Welcome!
This short blog is designed as a gentle starting point for your wardrobe-organising journey.
Before we dive into rails, drawers and decluttering, I invite you to pause and reflect. The questions that follow are rhetorical prompts — there are no right or wrong answers, and you don’t need to write anything down unless you want to. They are simply there to help you tune into how you live, how you feel in your clothes, and what you want more (or less) of going forward.

Your wardrobe is far more than a collection of clothes. It reflects your lifestyle, your habits, your emotions, your past experiences and your future aspirations. Often, we hold onto pieces out of guilt, nostalgia, uncertainty or the hope of a different version of ourselves — and just as often, we struggle to see what truly supports the life we’re living now.
These questions will help you consider:
- Your day-to-day lifestyle and how your wardrobe currently supports it
- Your wardrobe habits and patterns
- Your emotional connection to clothes
- Your future vision for both your wardrobe and your life
- Your personal style inspiration and shopping habits
By exploring these areas, you’ll gain clarity before we begin — making the organising process more intentional, less overwhelming, and far more empowering.
Think of this as laying the foundations. When we understand the ‘why’ behind your wardrobe, the ‘how’ becomes much easier.
Take your time, be honest with yourself, and trust that this is a supportive, judgment-free space. This is about creating a wardrobe that works for you — not against you.
Lifestyle & Needs:
What does a typical week look like to you?
Do you have enough clothes for each occasion?
What are your “go-to” outfits? (outfits you reach for whatever the occasion)
How do you want people to perceive you when you walk into a room?
Future Visions & Goals:
What is missing from your current wardrobe that you wish you had?
Do you want a “signature look” or flexibility to switch your style up occasion dependant?
Where do you see your lifestyle going in the next year and how do you want your wardrobe to represent that?
How would you like your wardrobe to make you feel?
Do you want a capsule wardrobe or do you enjoy variety and encourage change?
Style Preferences & Inspiration:
Who are your style inspirations? (celebrities, friends, influences, eras?)
What is your relationship with colour? Are there shades you love yet avoid wearing?
What colours do you feel most confident in and why?
Are there fabric or textures you either dislike or gravitate too?
Do you like statement pieces, or prefer timeless basics?
Shopping Habits:
Do you shop impulsively or intentionally?
When you buy something new, do you usually think about how it fits in with your current wardrobe and pieces you already own?
What do you do with unworn pieces that you buy?
Are there brands / stores you always return too?
